Latinograficas is an initiative by El Surti that offers journalists, designers, and illustrators a platform to learn and promote visual journalism in Latin America through production grants, meetings, workshops, and collaboration tools.
I was a grant recipient in the first cohort of the program, in 2020. In this program, for two months, we worked on producing pieces with informative rigor based on publications from the Latamchequea, Salud con Lupa, and Connectas networks. The pieces were later distributed freely in their media and are available in a database.
